Singapore's trusted authorized supplier of all major OMD brands. We supply, service and calibrate oil mist detection systems for marine, offshore and industrial engines — 24 hours after Purchase Order.
Oil mist is a tiny droplet of oil suspended in the air — considered extremely hazardous due to its low ignition temperature, creating a serious fire and explosion risk in engine crankcases and machinery spaces.
The most common cause of oil mist formation is oil leakage from pressurized oil lines, or oil hitting hot surfaces causing rapid evaporation. Oil leakages frequently occur in engine rooms, pump rooms, and hydraulic installations.
By installing an oil mist detector, dangerous concentrations are detected and alarmed before reaching the lower explosion limit — protecting both crew and vessel from catastrophic crankcase explosions.
We are the authorized dealers for all well-known OMD brands, maintaining a large inventory of OMDs and spare parts. We ensure the best possible economical quality solutions for ship managers.
We stock and service all major oil mist detector brands used in marine and industrial engines worldwide.
The Graviner Mk6 is an advanced analogue addressable oil mist detection system monitoring up to 64 detector heads and 8 engines. Detects average crankspace oil mist densities between 0.3–1.3 mg/L. Less than 1.2 seconds scan time for a 64-detector system. Microprocessor electronics ensure a very high degree of active fault indication.
The Graviner MK7 is the next-generation model offering improved digital communication, enhanced display and reduced maintenance intervals.
| Parameter | MK6 Specification |
|---|---|
| Measuring Range | 0–30 mg/L |
| Ventilation Type | Forced |
| Max Detectors | 64 heads / 8 engines |
| Scan Time (64 det.) | < 1.2 seconds |
| Power Supply | 24V DC |
VISATRON uses infrared turbidity measurement with a wear-free air jet pump powered by compressed air for continuous oil mist detection. The system continuously and simultaneously evacuates crankcase atmosphere from every compartment — measuring turbidity as % Opacity (0% = no absorption, 100% = total absorption).
Built to last for the entire engine lifetime with extremely low maintenance costs. Fresh air chambers provide active dirt protection for optics. Approved by 11 classification societies.
| Parameter | VN 215/93 Specification |
|---|---|
| Measuring Range | 0.2–50 mg/L |
| Ventilation Type | Forced (air jet pump) |
| Detection Method | Infrared turbidity (% Opacity) |
| Classification | 11 societies approved |
SPECS is Korea's unique and leading specialist in oil mist detection for marine engines. The SPECS Vision AOMD (Atmospheric Oil Mist Detector) accurately detects and activates alarms when oil mist is present in a marine engine crankcase or in closed room conditions. Far superior to other OMDs from the worldwide market.
COMD (Crankcase OMD) monitors individual crankcase compartments. Suitable for shipbuilding, LNG tanks, telecommunications and industrial applications.
| Parameter | Vision III C Specification |
|---|---|
| Measuring Range | 0–2.5 mg/L |
| Type | AOMD / COMD |
| Origin | Korea (SPECS Corp.) |
| Application | Marine, LNG, Industrial |
Daihatsu OMD uses an optical dispersion system with natural ventilation — no suction mechanism or fan required. The MD-SX model is widely used on Daihatsu auxiliary engines and main engines across all vessel types including tankers, bulkers, container ships and naval vessels.
The MD-9M and MD-SX models provide reliable crankcase monitoring and quick alarm activation upon detection of dangerous oil mist concentrations.
| Parameter | MD-SX Specification |
|---|---|
| Measuring Range | 0–2 mg/L |
| Ventilation Type | Natural (no fan/suction) |
| Detection Method | Optical dispersion |
| Compatibility | Daihatsu main/aux engines |
